Don’t worry you’re not alone, in fact you’re probably in with the majority of brides. Getting our photos taken for special occasions can be a daunting prospect for a lot of us and when its your own wedding day its not something you can avoid, after all you’ve got the man of your dreams, you’ll be wearing the dress of your dreams and you want the professional wedding photos taken so that you can look back on your day reliving the memories….however here’s the biggie…. you don’t need to have the photographer there with you from the moment you wake to the moment you and your new husband retire to the honeymoon suite – ok thats a bit exaggerated but you get the gist.
The old fashioned way of wedding photography was with a film camera, not a digital one and I think nowadays because we’re not using film we don’t have limitations on how many photos we can take at a wedding. Probably when your parents were married their “proof album” would have contained around 70 6″ x 4″ prints for them to choose their favourite 30 for their wedding album. So while advancements have been made in wedding photography and getting more for your money image wise, is it the best thing for you…the bride who isn’t keen on getting her photo taken, or simply a bride who doesn’t want to be followed all day long by a photographer?
Again, going back to your parents wedding, the photographer would have turned up at the church before the brides arrival, and would leave after the cutting of the cake, leaving the newlyweds to enjoy and celebrate the union of their marriage with their family and friends.
Julie Fraser Photography offers a similar old fashioned service with a modern twist. Our Half Day Wedding Service offers up to 4 hours of wedding photography, typically meeting with the Groom and his Groomsmen at the wedding venue, capturing photos of them, the ring, the Order of Service, Groom and his family, then the bridesmaids when they arrive, Mother of the Bride, and then the Bride and her Father or the person giving her way before they enter the venue for the ceremony. We take photos throughout the ceremony then your guest group shots before we venture off to capture some fantastic shots of your Bridal Party and then just the Bride and Groom by themselves. We then head back to the venue to take some photos of the room set up, the Cake and of course the Cutting of the Cake. If time allows we’ll also stay for speeches.
Of course because your wedding has been shot on a digital camera with a memory card instead of a roll of film you won’t be restricted to a final choice of 70 images, it will be more like 250-300 and you can choose 100 of those images to be put on a beautiful crystal heart shaped USB specially engraved with “Our Wedding”. The images will be hi-res allowing you to create your very own wedding album to look back on and relive your wedding day memories but best of all you will have had the majority of your day to yourselves without having to stop to pose for photos all day long.
The cost of our Half Day Wedding with the USB containing 100 images is only £650, so not only ideal for Brides who don’t want a photographer all day long but also for those on a tighter budget when it comes to wedding photography.
